A whimsical ranch wedding, with a wild dance party to round out the night. Sounds pretty perfect in my book, and these images are proof. This was one of those weddings where that one person who always says they don’t dance, finally gets up and has some fun. This group had some moves, which was fueled along by several tequila shot intermissions. Including the bride taking a quick break on the dance floor. It was all good fun and made for some amazing photo opportunities. Everyone left this wedding with sore feet and big smiles, including myself. The night also ends with one of my favorite sparkler send offs.
The McCormick Ranch is in Camarillo, California nestled behind eucalyptus and surrounded by beautiful fields. The property itself is grand, elegant, and very romantic, especially for a ranch venue. The property is filled with different types of gardens, and offers a unique and spacious setting with cobblestone pathways, a working barn, and everything else that goes with the ranch lifestyle; think broken down work trucks and a few goats living there best life, but you know…chic and tasteful. For the photographers, I also have access to the surrounding fields which would make for epic sunset images. In other words, it’s perfect for the whimsical ranch wedding you’re planning.
My photography is a blend of art, experience, and instinct—a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
For over 15 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of photography. It all started when I was 18 and stepped into a darkroom for the first time. That moment sparked a lifelong obsession with capturing the world through my lens. It eventually lead me to the fine art space, collaborating with artists, managing studios, and working alongside galleries and museums.
Through years of studying art and photography—both in undergraduate and graduate school—my aesthetic evolved under the influence of critical theory and contemporary art. I found myself drawn to the intersection of traditional documentary photography and spontaneous, unfiltered moments of real life. My goal is to create images that are raw, honest, and deeply human.
Travel plays a huge role in my creative process. I find inspiration in the unfamiliar—letting light, movement, and emotion guide my eye. Photography is my way of making sense of the world, turning fleeting moments into lasting stories. With a camera in hand, everything becomes a canvas, and every frame is a chance to reveal beauty in the unexpected.
