A Private Villa on the Central Coast
Having lived on the central coast for 30+ years, my family has seen our fair share of change in the area. We are St. Rosers, AYSO soccer stars, Templeton High, and Mission Prep alumni, we’d go to the OG Joes Place every Sunday after church, often ate dinner at Lolos, and spent countless hours at Kaptain Kids. You name it, we’ve experienced it in our humble town.
Templeton, Paso Robles, and Atascadero somewhat blend into one, along with San Miguel and Santa Margarita. All of us had to adapt to how the area exploded and turned into a tourist mecca. Gradually adapting to the area’s expansion and popularity year after year. It’s what we have to do to stay a part of the movement. A movement that has slowly adapted, for the most part, from wine aficionados flocking to the area, to something much greater and evolved.
We are headed into an interesting phase where it’s not all about wine anymore. People are coming from all around for the food, arts, luxury stays, breweries and spirits, gorgeous coastlines, and a-list entertainment that passes through the area. The newly opened Paso Robles Market Walk is now home to Michelin-worthy restaurant In Bloom. The gorgeous Vina Robles Amphitheater constantly brings amazing artists to the stage including, St. Vincent, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Jimmy Eat World, and a whole other impressive line-up of stand comedians. Most noteworthy is the local spirits scene that is catching everyone by surprise and really putting a new buzzy atmosphere around town. Head straight to KROBĀR Craft Distillery to try some incredible gin.
Things are changing in our small patch of the Central Coast, and people are branching out. Spirits, food, reclaimed art, music, cider and so much more are enticing the masses and putting Paso Robles on the map in a big way. As a family, we are here for it! We appreciate and welcome the challenge of adapting to our new hometown aesthetic. A major part of why we decided to create, Loma Maria. A luxury villa hidden on the Central Coast.
Loma Maria California
Loma Maria began as a small seed in 2012. Our brother and sister, Frankie and Rene, had the idea of turning the family properties into vacation rentals, and after that conversation, the rest is pretty much history. It was a great idea, everyone knew it, and here we are. Of course, A LOT more went into making it a reality, but that is a story for another time.
Within a few years, the two turned around and opened 3 rentals in downtown Paso Robles and a beachfront house on studio drive in Cayucos. You can find more information about those rentals here: The Beach House Cayucos Vacation Rental & Downtown Paso Robles Casitas. In March of 2020, we were amped up for our official launch, which ended up being perfect timing with COVID. There was no way we were putting this dream on hold any longer. We were ready to open and decided to launch despite the pandemic.
Loma Maria is run like a boutique hotel but is perfect for large groups too. The villa is located on a breathtaking piece of land of 40+ acres of wine grapes that you are free to roam around during your stay. With 4 grand suites, a large fully stocked commercial kitchen, fireplaces, game room, bar, theater room, and pizza oven you are vacation-ready. The open sunlit living area is perfect for reading and relaxing into the afternoon, and the theater room with a conveniently placed bar is next-level fun for movie nights and game days. You won’t have a shortage of relaxation or high voltage fun during your stay.
Tuscany in California
Loma Maria is located where the foothill begins rising over the mountains and onto the ocean. The villa is located along the Templeton Gap, where coastal air pushes through and helps give the west wide its unique qualities. We are near the intersection of Green Valley Rd. (Hwy 46 West) and Vineyard Drive. Our neighbors are some of the oldest Italian settlers to start growing wine grapes in the area.
Take a drive in any direction and there are unique wineries scattered throughout the countryside. There are 15 within just 1 mile. The west side in particular is known for its smaller boutique producers. For fine dining and shopping, Paso Robles and Templeton are an easy 5-minute drive away. A scenic 25-minute drive to the west and you’ll arrive at one of our charming beach towns or visit the spectacular Hearst Castle. Green Valley Rd., and the country roads it connects to, are world-class cycling routes. There is something for everyone here and Loma Maria is a perfect home base for exploring what the Central Coast has to offer.
Everyone is big on outdoor living on the Central Coast and the extensive grounds at Loma Maria are a large part of what makes the space so special. Surrounding the house are countless nooks and crannies to explore. You’ll have plenty of room to spread out and find a quiet place to sit with your coffee and watch the quail pass by or soak up the setting sun as it falls behind the hills. The large gazebo is perfect for greeting the morning sun. With our long warm season, the pool is likely to draw you in at some point. For the game lovers like ourselves, there are cornhole boards and a full-size bocce court. If you want to stay warm while doing some star gazing, you can get a bonfire going in one of our outdoor fire pits. Also, did I mention the outdoor pizza oven?
Central Coast Wedding Venue
No matter the occasion, you really can’t go wrong with any location here on the central coast. The entire coastline is a work of art, Big Sur, need I saw more, we have a small slice of Ireland in our rolling green hills, vast wide-open valleys filled with wildflowers, sprawling vineyards in every direction, and of course the sandy dunes of Pismo. It’s all gorgeous no matter where you go, and it’s enough to make you crazy. As a bride, no wonder it’s so hard to choose a backdrop or venue.
We want to help make the decision easier for you by letting you know how wonderful our home Loma Maria is. As soon as you drive up to the house your smiling. It’s contagious. this location is so special and full of life it instantly out a blanket of happiness around you. It’s an oasis, a trip through Tuscany, and a relaxing escape all wrapped into one. You can get lost here and find yourself here. Loma Maria is a place that jumpstarts the soul and leaves every inch of you feeling refreshed.

A California based photographer keeping it real and capturing all the perfect moments. Hey! My name is Teresa. Between my large Sicilian family, crazy friends and animated boyfriend, I have a tremendous amount of nicknames. SO we will go with Teresa for now but feel free to get creative once we get to know each-other. I was born and raised on the Central Coast in the small town of Templeton, lived in LA during my early 20’s and then spent about 6 years in New York. I’m now back in CA and loving every moment. All I can say is sunshine and tacos, but I do miss bagels and pizza. I love to travel, be outside, cycle and discover new places, eat ice cream and enjoy a cheeseburger, french fries and an ice cold beer tremendously. I’m pretty damn normal, easy to be around and love to laugh around new company. If you are ready, I am ready. Let’s dive in! www.teresalojacono.com
